– Memories are made of this –
As I look back into time, fond and nostalgic memories of a journey that I started way back on 1st August 1986 with one of the world’s largest and dynamic trading companies – Hyundai Corporation, encompass me.
Very often, many ask me this question – what is it that makes you work in this company for such a long time? It has always been tough answering this question. My reply has always been that where else could anyone work with a company which offers you so much in terms of an amazingly diversified product portfolio and opportunities in terms of experiencing places, people and situations.
During these 30 long years, I had the good fortune of dealing with almost the entire portfolio of products that the company handles and also in the process learnt so much through interactions with qualified persons and products. Hyundai Corporation taught me how to strike a fine balance between ‘specializing’ and ‘multi-tasking’ and gently chiselled and shaped my personality to what I am today. So at the end of it all, I have a basket full of assets to take away and the least that I can return to the company is a ‘committed relationship’ which I will always maintain and cherish.
I am so grateful to all my seniors and colleagues in bonsa and in India, who have been a part of this journey of mine and supported me all along. As I continue to work here, I am still learning, I am still meeting old and new friends and colleagues and I am still contributing my bit to the company’s growth.
I am a proud Hyundai man with a Hyundai spirit deeply instilled in me. My personal work motto remains, “let’s not talk of the labour pains, let’s show the baby”.
Kamsah-amnida and God bless!
