– Conclusion of an MOU with Yangju-si and DAEYOUNG CHAEVI Co., Ltd. on Installation of super rapid Charging Infrastructure –
Hyundai Corporation entered into ‘a Business Agreement for ‘Electric Vehicle Super Rapid Charging Infrastructure Installation’ with Yangju-si, Yangju-si Council and a specialized company in electric vehicle super rapid charger, DAEYOUNG CHAEVI at the situation room of the Gyeonggi-do Yangju-si Hall, back on November 23(Tues).
In accordance with this agreement, ▲Hyundai Corporation is to take charge of the review of development of and investment in the business related to electric vehicle recharger installation, ▲DAEYOUNG CHAEVI Co., Ltd. is to take charge of electric vehicle charger manufacturing & installation, and its maintenance management, ▲Yangju-si and Yangju-si Council are to be in full charge of administrative support for super rapid charger installation which will be done within Yangju-si.
If this agreement should go on smoothly, it will serve as a momentum to revitalize the investment in super rapid charging infrastructure construction which is currently far from enough in comparison with the for rapidly increasing domestic electric vehicle supply demand; further, smooth progress of this agreement is expected to greatly contribute to creation of the stable vehicle running environment by increasing electric vehicle user’s convenience in downtown Yangju.
In the agreement ceremony on that day, vice president of Hyundai Corporation, Nam, Keun-ho, vice mayor of Yangju-si, Kim, Jong-seok, chairman of the City Council, Chung, Deok-young, and the head of DAEYOUNG CHAEVI Co., Ltd., Chung, Min-gyo participated.
Hyundai Corporation is planning to accelerate the eco-friendly vehicle infrastructure construction business model and its related business entry with the recent MOU as a momentum. Actually, the same company already made an MOU on installation & operation of a charging station for a hydrogen fuel cell bus with Incheon City in June this year, and even in cooperation with Yangju-si, the same company proceeded with an additional agreement on installation & operation of a charging station for a hydrogen fuel cell bus.
On the basis of the business agreement concluded with Incheon City, Yangju-si, and DAEYOUNG CHAEVI, etc., Hyundai Corporation is planning to widen the radius of business activity in many different fields first in the country, such as development of overseas vehicle charging infrastructure construction, business model transfer, and participation in capital investment, etc. in the future on the foundations accumulated with experience and ability related to the eco-friendly vehicle charging infrastructure construction business.
