Secures additional €2.1 million export contract with Vitamed

Bereum announced on the 28th that it had signed an additional export contract worth €2.1 million (KRW 2.94 billion) with Vitamed for three years through an overseas sales partnership with Hyundai Corporation.

The agreement successfully secured a long-term distribution partnership in the European market based on Bereum’s microbiome postbiotics technology.

Bereum (CEO Han Kwon-il) secured its first European postbiotics lactobacillus export contract last year amid concerns about the export market growth slowdown in the third quarter. It now brings yet another piece of good news in less than a year.

Last year, Bereum signed an export contract worth €300,000 (KRW 420 million) per year with Austria’s Vitamed for its co-branded film-type postbiotics, Vitabiotik.

Vitabiotik is a film-type health supplement that contains 100 billion cells of Bereum’s main postbiotics strain “beLP1,” and is currently sold in more than 7 European countries including Germany, Austria, and the Balkan Peninsula, and in more than 500 pharmacies. It is receiving positive reviews from consumers.

In addition, Bereum successfully launched its microbiome cosmetics brands, “Hanarin” and “Young Clair,” in Malaysia and Singapore last year. It also exported its European-targeted brand, “SolSoul,” which includes products such as feminine cleansers, Y-zone care creams, hair loss shampoos, microbiome mask packs, and skincare products like ampoules and eye creams.

In particular, Bereum and Vitamed will continue their extensive R&D partnership by collaborating on postbiotics research, sharing trends and insights through joint studies and conferences.

A representative from Bereum said, “This export agreement will be an important opportunity to promote the excellence of Bereum’s postbiotics technology and products in the European market, since the company has conducted R&D for more than 30 years. We will continue to enhance our global competitiveness and focus on developing innovative products.”
