– Participated in cultural event to encourage the meaningful closing of the second half of the year –

Hyundai Corporation Group had a group viewing of the musical at Jamsil Charlotte Theater in October 19, for the commemoration of the 42nd anniversary of foundation. This event starting at 8:00 PM lasted about 3 hours and all employees of HCG and their families, relatives and the special guests from our partner companies were in attendance.

‘The Bridge of Madison County’ is based on the original novel of American author Robert James Wheeler. At that time, the book was ranked on the top for 37 weeks as best seller selected by New York Times and sold more than 8.5 million copies in USA only and 50 million copies all around the world, and even more than 700,000 copies in Korea. The musical we watched at the day was adapted for the musical using the novel.

The employees who arrived earlier in the theater before starting the performance, had a time to take commemorative picture with their families and relatives at the photo zone and talk cheerfully looking around the casting panel on the second floor.

This work is about the love story of Italian woman ‘Francheska’ who was living a normal life in Winterset, Iowa, USA and the photographer of National Geographic ‘Robert Kinkaid’ who visited there to take picture of Roseman Bridge of Madison County and encountered like destiny and fell in love each other for three days. For this musical, actress Kim Sunyeong had the role of Franceska and actor Park Euntae for Kinkad who performed enthusiastically. The actors, after the curtain dropped, expressed their thanks on the stage greeting and received loud applauses from the spectators.
